Thanks for stopping by to meet me. I’ll be as brief as I can.
I am a writer, publishing narrative history, fiction and creative non-fiction.
My first children’s picture book, Me and the Sky (Penguin Random House, 2019) is out. And in 2017, I published Hidden History of Fort Myers with the History Press. It is an engaging narrative of the first 100 years of Fort Myers’ impossibly romantic, sometimes hilarious and not insignificant history. Amy Bennett Williams, Fort Myers News-Press writer and columnist and WGCU radio personality, wrote a Tropicalia cover story about my book and me. Take a look.
My first published fiction is a novella titled BANYAN, whose setting is a fictionalized version of the historic Burroughs Home in Fort Myers. BANYAN is a psychological/supernatural mystery. I am working on Parts II and III now.
I indulge my love of history also by writing for American History Magazine and for the Sunday Tropicalia section of the Fort Myers News-Press. You may read the latter stories here in “History in Cynemascope.”
This year, I will publish a collection of my narrative histories and I have a middle-grade novel, titled, Happy, currently under scrutiny at Random House.
Thank you for your interest. Comments are most welcome.
